Day 97 – June 23, 2022

11:00 pm: A brief update to share that we’ve had a quiet, yet busy week at home. Harvey will begin receiving the first of numerous rounds of rylaze shots tomorrow, June 24th. He’ll also soon begin his next round of aggressive cancer treatment, including scheduled hospitalizations. I’ll post a much more detailed entry in the coming days about what Harvey’s next leg of cancer treatment entails, what we’ve been up to, and, of course, some pictures and videos of the action. (We’ve spent a lot of time outside enjoying the hot weather with cool water activities.) I’ve included a few photos from today highlighting our kindergarten graduates, Hattie & Henry! The school our twins attend, Spero Academy, is the reason we moved from Rochester, MN to the Minneapolis metro last year. We couldn’t be happier with all the progress we’ve seen in our twins, made possible by some of the most phenomenally talented, dedicated, caring, selfless, and hard-working individuals we’ve ever met. Thank you to our Spero Academy family! And thank you all so very much for your continued love and support. ❀️

Most of the updates on this site have been from me (dad). I’m excited to share Lindsey’s (mom) post from this evening:

Hattie Bea & Henry Beau are officially kindergarten graduates today. πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ“πŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ“ Time flies, I may have shed a few tears at their graduation ceremony.

Cancer turns the world upside down for brothers and sisters, too. At the young age of six, these two have been forced to navigate the sudden shift from normal life to a pediatric cancer life. Harvey’s cancer diagnosis has deeply disrupted their sense of normalcy and predictability at times. The emotional burden they have to deal with is enormous, especially with the uncertainty of the future.

If ever there is tomorrow when we’re not together, there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart, I’ll always be with you.
