Day 731 – March 18th, 2024

Two years. Two years ago today, Harvey received his cancer diagnosis. Last year at this time, he had 2 years of treatment remaining and was in remission. (At least that’s what we assumed.) What a difference a year can bring. What an incredibly different perspective we now have, yet again! A year ago, we thought Harvey had found his permanent remission. Today, we are so grateful he was able to reclaim it nearly two months ago. We want it to be permanent this time. We’ve never wanted anything more.

There’s so much to say. But to keep with tradition, we share this video with you in lieu of words. It conveys the good and the bad throughout this cancer journey. Moments of pure joy – moments of utter despair – Harvey’s story told frame by frame. As you relive the past 366 days with us, please note all the fun activities shown in the video. Many of these activities were made possible by Hope Kids Minnesota. This wonderful organization has given Harvey, his siblings, our family, and so many other kids, the opportunity to play, have fun, and escape the thoughts of their own battles that lie ahead. We are so thankful for everything they’ve done for us and want to ensure they continue to thrive and help others enjoy amazing experiences. We invite you to join Harvey’s Hope Kids fundraiser. No amount is too small. Truly.

Thank you so very much to all our family and friends that have helped Harvey and our family survive another year of this journey! We love you all and are so grateful for you. We aim to keep a tight grip on Harvey’s remission these next 365 days ahead.

Harvey: We are so incredibly proud of you! We’re elated to have witnessed the accomplishments you’ve found while facing adversities of unknown cause that we will likely never understand. “Pwning” noobs on Xbox and cancer at the same time. You’re our hero! We know year 3 is your year in this journey. Don’t ever forget how much you are loved! Forever and always, bud.
