Day 724 – March 11, 2024
It’s been over a month since our last update. Hopefully you know why: Harvey has been doing well! We are so incredibly blessed to share that we’ve been offline and enjoying life since then. This morning, Harvey and Lindsey flew back to Philadelphia for his 3 month post CAR-T therapy appointment. He has a big day tomorrow with a brain MRI, a bone marrow biopsy, and a spinal tap. We hope to report a normal MRI, no cancer detected in his bone marrow nor spinal fluid, and no detectable b cells in his blood. Here’s the wonderful progress he’s made so far:
January 2024 bone marrow biopsy/spinal tap:
✓ No b cells detected and no detectable cancer cells.
February 2024 labs:
✓ No b cells detected.
March 2024 bone marrow biopsy, spinal tap, and MRI:
⧗ Collected tomorrow – results by end of March.
April 2024 labs: Upcoming.
May 2024 labs: Upcoming.
June 2024 bone marrow biopsy/spinal tap: Upcoming.
September 2024 bone marrow biopsy/spinal tap: Upcoming.
December 2024 bone marrow biopsy/spinal tap: Upcoming.
Again, this is our wish list: No detectable b cells, no detectable cancer cells, and nothing of interest on his MRI. Although we want Harvey to continue having no b cells for at least the next 4 months, the lack of b cells make him immunocompromised. Because of this, he continues to receive IVIg infusions monthly here in Minnesota. We continue living test result to test result, knowing that a single unfavorable one could change everything (again). But overall, we are elated to type these words: Harvey is doing well!
We have so much to share with you from these past 2 months, and we plan to do so in an upcoming post. March 18th will mark 2 years of this cancer journey, and I’m certain Harvey will have a few things to say about it in an upcoming video update. We love you all: Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for our warrior and our family! Keep Harvey in your thoughts tomorrow as he endures another round of pokes, bone drilling, and brain scans. We’ll share the results here as soon as we receive receive them. Harvey will be able to return back home to Minnesota on Thursday (hooray for shorter trips!).
