Day 1096 – March 18, 2025

Less frequent updates on this site have meant we’re busy living life. And we’re grateful for every moment. This moment.

Harvey’s cancer diagnosis came unexpectedly—and unapologetically—on March 18th, 2022. The darkness that enveloped us 3 years ago now starkly contrasts with the light in our lives today. He is now 14 months in remission and has just returned from a surprise spring break family vacation in California. Watching him run along the Pacific Ocean coastline in the sunshine on a beautiful beach is so far removed from hospital rooms and chemotherapy that it almost seems like a bad dream. Yet, his scars, leg braces, and ongoing IVIg treatments remind us it was—it is—real. Watching our warrior reunite with the wonder of childhood is an amazing gift—a gift that has been incredibly elusive for so long.

Harvey: We’re so proud of you. We’re in awe of how you’ve taken the unimaginable experiences you’ve faced and chose to learn and grow from them. You’re an inspiration and amazing role model. Never lose that passion, curiosity, and care for others that we see in you every day. You’ve taught us so much, even when teaching wasn’t your intention. Our lives are so much better because of you, and with you in them.

We love you, Hattie, and Henry so much!

Thank you to all our family and friends for all your continued support. We’re working on a video update to highlight some of the amazing moments we’ve had as a family over the past 5 months including Make-A-Wish granting Harvey his wish, a fun cabin getaway with friends at a beautiful resort, and so much more.

  1. I am so very happy to hear and see that Harvey is doing so well and everything looks brighter each and every day. How nice that Make A Wish granted him his wish, which h just may be the Lego park. Make A Wish is my favorite charity that I give to here in ND. I receive their quarterly booklet and it makes my heart happy to see all the wishes that have been granted to these children. May God continue to Bless Harvey on his road to complete recovery. Cute pictures of he and Hattie! 😊❤️❤️
